I have found a complete 1275 in need of rebuilding. This being my first rebuild project im looking for some advise.
I hope to have an original 1275 when complete, noting fancy just a good solid motor.
I have the Haynes Book, but is there something better?
Shopping list for parts and how to pick a good machine shop ect....

Thanks!

I'd suggest you start with David Vizard's Book. Read that well and you'll be ahead of the game....

Stay tuned here on the forum for all types of information on engine rebuilding. Watch the quality of parts used in the rebuild. There are some very poor quality parts out there. NOS or New Old Stock parts are best. Don't cut corners!

I do engine rebuilding kits as well as rebuild these engines, I rebuild alot fo these motors, so I know what I like to use, part wise, and what i do not. So when you get ready, give me a shout.

Might want to bookmark (or print) the build log I put together from all of Hap's emails and forum posts when he built my 1275. Most builds differ slightly, but there are a lot of tips and gotchas that Hap highlights that should apply to any build.
