Just saw that BPNW now has an adapter for the A+ pump to 1275 cam adapter...slot to star?

Are you talking about CHM108MOD? If so, that's a good price. Literally 1/2 what Mini Mania sells it for.
 
I recently had to have my oil pump replaced on my 1275. It turned out that what I had was an oil pump for a 948. The slot for a 948 is shorter than for a 1275 and eventually wore down and didn't make contact anymore. It was replaced by a oil pump from Mini Mania and all is good now.
You can see a discussion of it in MG Experience under posts started by Bill M. Luckily it was caught in time and no damage was done.
