1275 muffler options

I really want to see if I can quiet my '71 Midget down a bit. All new parts from Moss, doughnut to muffler. I know that many people love the sound of the 1275 exhaust note, but I want it be as quiet as it can be with the stock set up, not the dual, transverse one that came later.

The muffler on the car when I got it was somewhat oval in shape, exactly as pictured in the Moss catalog, pn 444-260. But what you get when you order that part from either Moss or VB is round and smaller.

Anyone know where I can that slightly larger, oval muffler that is pictured in both Moss and VB? Anyone been on the same mission and found an aftermarket muffler that looks right?

Thanks.

Yeoman, you may want to try APT. https://www.aptfast.com
David sells Maniflow systems, and may be able to steer you in the right direction.
You also could put this over in the Spridget forum, where a lot more of us 1275 types congregate.
