1275 EN40 Crank

I have a crank from a 67 Sprite stamped EN40. Car I got it in was a rust bucket with only 32K miles. Bought as part of estate lot and was told by a friend of the man who died that this engine had never been out of the car. Plan was to put that engine in my 69, but when I tore it down to check it out I found the #1 rod journel had been turned 10-20 thousands. Guess it had been out before - Although the engine showed no other signs of rebuild. Anyway, I used the crank from the 69 in rebuild.

Question! - Is this crank of any use to anyone?? Do not want to toss it if it has value to someone.
 
IIRC EN40 was a decent crank, don't toss it. If you don't want it I would take it and do some more research. I only live a few miles from you, I am just outside Bellefonte, PA
 
Looks like .030" and .040" rod bearings are pretty common, so it doesn't sound like the crank is toast.
 
For the Mini Cooper -S, the EN40 crank was/is the one to have. They are supposed to have superior toughness. I assume the same would be true for the Spridget crank.
 
Yes. I understand that it is the one to have for the mini and Spridget. That was why I was going to use it. But I also saw that the hardening process (nitrate?) was lost when they were turned. That is why I asked this one still had value to anyone.
 
I was most surprised that only one journal was turned. Especially on a engine with 32K miles that showed no sighs of ever having been cracked open.
