3.5 qts with filter? Someone jog my memory please. Bugsy gets his 500 mile on a new engine oil change tomorrow night.

I've always done 4 quarts including filter, although the self-lubricating chassis tends to knock that number down quickly.

Thanks,
New Rebuilt Engine along with Gerard's Rear Seal Kit so far at ~500 mikes have not seen a single drop on the ground. Will see what happens as I continue to break in the engine. Engine feels really strong and the 5 speed is so slick. 4 Qts it is. Unless someone tells me different overnight. a fresh refill with VR-1 20W50.

The listed capacity is 7.8 pints (or 3.9 quarts), I would start with 3.5 or so quarts and top up from there. The capacity of oil filters can vary some as well. You don't want to over fill.
Have fun

Tks. Along time ago on my old ā€˜68 I changed oil and simply assumed 5 qts. Wondered for months why it felt sluggish and did’t want to rev. Tough doing while crank is creating a milkshake in the oil. Problem resolved over time due to LBC’s self lubricating chassis. The things you learn along the way.
