1275 compression ratios and horsepower

The SW5 and Kent 276 should be very similar. I am using a 266 which holds a bit more onto the bottom end. They say that's good for street...

There's a chart in the Vizard book comparing CR, cam duration and octane rating. With mine, 270 duration and 10.5 CR requires 95 octane rating which is what we get here.

I'll see if I can post that picture later.

Cheers.

I wouldn't mind $4 a gallon if they sold us decent fuel like 95. I bet fuel costs more there though.

Lot of places in the midwest are only offering 89. Severely limits what you can do with an engine.

I would like $4 a gallon too, my local stations are over $4.35 for regular here in LA.

This morning;
Between $7.91 and $8.17 per US gallon for 95 octane rating.
Between $7.87 and $8.13 per US gallon for 92 octane rating.

Pricing here is a bit weird. pump prices change as many as 10 times per day at a single station, and the difference between 92 and 95 is between 5 and 10 cents.

Saw that page last night in my reading :smile:.

Really gonna have to work out what the heck this cam is or bin it I think

Aye its gonna be a fun few hours work when I get back to the project at Easter. I tried matching it roughly via fact it has a Spider drive and half inch lobes but that didn't get me very far and then ran out of time.

Thanks for the link, supplements Vizzards tables nicely
