11.4 pounds

Picked up the new Classic 8s from Hap today. WOW.
11.4 lbs of beauty! I love the way the rim has a
nice polished edge. Tire shop is installing these beauties
tomorrow morning. Hap even test fitted a rim to his GT
and the tie rod clearance is spot on.
Being in Acme with all those engines and stuff around just
adds to my anticipation. Sets the tone as it were.
I'm stoked, or chuffed for you Brits, to get 'em
on and take some pics.
Heck, I might find myself WANTING to drive the MGB now.
Big ol thanks to Hap for getting us LBC nuts such a quality wheel at an affordable price.
Goodbye old wobbling Rostyles, can't say I'll miss 'em.

Wow...the wheels look great! The wife even likes the
VTO "designer" emblems on the center caps. I ordered some
MGB ones but she now wants the VTO caps to stay.
Local shop charged $20 to take the old tire/rims off, remove the tires, install tires on the VTOs and balance them
then install the VTOs on the car. What a deal!
Heck I tipped the dude $20.

Got the B up to 80 mph coming home. Smooth as silk.
Big difference compared to those wobbly steel 1971
Rostyles.
Anybody looking for some brand new 14 inch trim rings?
The rims went to the re-cycle center.
The beauty rings are like new. Fewer than 500 miles
on them. Less than 6 months old.
Anybody interested in a good deal on them?

Pictures after we shine up the B and black up the
Tiger Paws this weekend.
The wife could not be more pleased.

David, I'll have the rings. PM in yer ear.

David what do I owe you for that plug, send me a bill :jester:

Wait till you see the pics....dang that MGB looks sweet with those rims!
Oh, and you were right. We used the chrome covered valve stems not the fancy threaded ones I had bought. DUH...a fool and his money as they say.
You'd think I'd learn to listen to an expert, but then again...
it is me.

Dr. Order

One of the rings and something shiny besides to compare.
Makes 'em look pretty dull, but I promise they's real shiny!
Kinda apple and orange deal.

teaser pic

Wheel porn to follow.
The fog from 100 degrees give them a dreamy appearance, huh?
Can't wait to get the thing out in the sun. Wash and wax and scrub the tires. Get the greasy finger prints off her new wheels. She was mortified the guy had dirty hands getting
out of baby. I had to clean the steering wheel before getting in.
Get those designer tags all level. Get detail in the shot.
And the B of course. Like someone else said..transformed.
