1098 -- Free to good home ....

Hi all --

Saw a post about 2 weeks ago where someone actually wanted a 1098 cyl head for racing. I have the whole engine - free to good home.

Engine needs rebuilt. Sat for 20 years -- in dire need of "acid wash" to clean out oil passages (kept overheating).

I didn't think anyone would be interested - but on the odd chance I am wrong -- please contact me @ spritey at comcast dot net.

I live in Avon Lake, OH (westside of Cleveland, OH).

If I don't hear anything by 6/10/06 -- out it goes.

That was me looking for a head to go on my 948/998 hehe. Don't think I would want to pay shipping for a whole engine though, you are far away.

What is the number on the head if you don't mind.

Sorry for the delay -- I just remembered ....

12G206
13J
MOWOG

All the "coding" I could determine on the head. It's yours if you want. Remember - I replaced it for a reason.

All there except "non-engine" items as: generator / distributor / carbs / etc ...

Remember -- it needs a lot of cleaning & work. I found it cheaper to buy a 1275 due to parts availability & lower costs vs. keeping existing one.

If you are a "purist" then keep the 1098 (even though #'s don't match) -- otherwise go with a 1275.

Is there anything in particular you are looking for ?
