Seriously? I think it indicates a reserve tank?

I know nothing about 100S's but I wonder why there is no windshield wiper switch and, if that is where it was originally located, whether the wipers were removed and the switch position given over to some other function. It looks to be a momentary switch.

Also, did 100S's originally have turn signals and if so where is the selector lever now located?

R is for reserve. The S has two fuel pumps. Each pump has its own tank inlet tube. One tube is a little bit higher than the other. If you run on the high tube's pump, switching to the low tube pump is like having a reserve gas supply.

100S's did not have turn signals. The front small lights are smaller than a 100. Also no windshield wipers as the plexiglass windscreen is only about 10 inches high. However a standard 100 windscreen could be fitted (see Mille Miglia pictures) and possibly the wipers also.

Thanks. Appreciate the response. Jedi means you need to post more to reach the second level. It would seem you know what of you speak so post away. Try the Pub also, we're a friendly lot there.:banana::savewave::driving:

I agree - especially the "Jedi Hopeful" one, which is demeaning.
