#1 I sure can't argue with. But #2?

Yikes!

It boggles mine that the SP250 is not included (after all, there are some strange looking cars 60-100) anywhere except the comments about the most ugly made. I may spend the rest of the day sulking.

Well, the Edsel didn't make the list, either...

...but #82, the Aston Martin Lagonda Rapide (what a name!) looks like what the "Edsel GT" might have been! :jester:

A few surprises to be sure.

Ok now I realize that there are taste differences between the Euro crowd and this side fo the pond.

But how the heck did the Citron DS come in second overall right behind the E-Type? Ahead of cars like the XK-120 (#3) The Dino (#4) the Miura (#5), the DB4/5/6 (#6), the DB4 Zagato (personal favorite of all time placed #7), DB9 (#8), Lodus Esprit (#9) and the Ferrari 250 GTO (#10).

I mean sure - it should be on the list but Number #2!

Hmm? Highest American cars; the A/C Cobra (#16) and the 63-67 Corvette (#15).

OK, to me, that list is so off-the-wall, it's stunning!

There are cars on that list that are wouldn't make my "Top 1000" .

Since the MGA, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT , Bugatti T35, and the 3rd gen Mazda RX-7 are not in the top five, to me, the list is invalid.

And evidently, the compilers of that list never heard of a

Must have E-type Jag... :hammer:

When I get a bigger garage, or at least, a few less kids in college, my goals are (in no particular order):

E-type 12 cyl.
Factory Five Cobra with 427 side oiler (built at home)
MGC (only I want it done up like Steve's red one)
AH 100M, but I'd settle for a 100 LeMans

I have other aspirations, but I don't want to overwhelm myself, I'll achieve these goals and then re-evaluate. :smirk:

How did number two get there? Easy, the French banded together and swamped the poll. Kind of like the computer savvy Ron Paul supporters did to on-line polls a while back.

ix-nay on the olitics-pay

I LOVE #2. Not that I would want to actually own one (unless I could afford to pay someone else to fix it). There is a rather odd Australian movie (O.K. - I admit most all Australian movies are a bit odd, but this one is odder than most) called "The Goddess of 1967" in which a DS plays a major role. But I warned you - it is an odd movie!

All the cars I can afford/like/fix are in 81-100 though.

Making a list like that is like trying to compile a list of the most beautiful women in the world, etc. etc.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!!

PS: A good argument can be made that some of the most elegantly beautiful automotive shapes WERE produced by the French!! I won't bore you with a list of examples, but check out some of the French coachbuilders of the '20s & '30s!! :yesnod:

I like #2 also. I'd have one in a heartbeat.
Of course I'd prefer a DB5, but the Citroen is closer to my pocketbook...
