Hood 1 - not much, maybe for a low budget racer ($50)

Hood 2 - better, couple hundred at most

I'm not volunteering to work on either one, but I'd MUCH rather bring #1 back than #2.

If you look down the right/left edge there should be some numbers,
maybe these can be added to a database so as to give some indication of which cars probably no longer exist

I'll take a look when I get back home. I picked them up from my Dad yesterday. I'll let you know.

saysprite, i agree with the $ value assesment given here but also think about the time it would take if you reconditioned these yourself or what a metal bender is going to charge to put either of these hoods back to usable condition, might be best to spend a few extra $ and get one in better condition.

HEY Elrey!! He ain't in Broklyn no no more they run em out---Keoke--- :jester:

When I get a chance, I'll try to fix one of them up. I found 4287 on the side of hood #2. I can't make out any numbers on the other one. I'm trying to get one of my HP Sprites ready. If you know anybody that's interested in one just give me a shout.

Thanks

elry and keoke, i might not still live there but you both might one mornining wake up with a horses head in ya beds or get trapped at a toll both...

If you refer to them as "bonnets" rather than "hoods" you can probably charge twice as much for them. :jester:

Hey Darryl S. Thanks for checking the body numbers on those bonnets. I've entered the Body number 4287 into the Hundred Registry and it comes up as belonging to a BN1 that is apparently alive and well and living in the midwest. I will attempt to contact the owners to see if there's any interest there in reuniting the bonnet with the car.
Now isn't that cool???
Anybody else have some Hundred numbers out there you'd like to submit to the Hundred Registry? I'm here!

I've acquired the visceral remains of a 100, the only ID I have is its body number 2182, no idea of its history in the past

I have the aluminum bonnet& boot from a '54 that I parted out in the '70's, I think out in the shop, I'll check for #s & get back to you. cheers Genos2

ok Rich here are some more
Dad looked at the hood he kept and it has 10865.

Dad has a frame with 5179 7488 with a vin number of 149670.
His 100 has a body plate of 4467994

My 100 is 145484 with body number 4407516. To me it looks like 546 but you have it as 516.
