Anyone have a source for gudgeon (wrist) pins for a 100? Denis Welch lists them but they're very pricey and SC shows them without a price. N/A from VB and Moss.

I recently replaced my pins with DW since they came fitted to the new DW pistons. My old pins were still very snug in the old pistons at 90,000 miles. Inspection showed the pins to be like new. Are you sure that you need new pins?

I have new Venolia pistons and they came without pins as I had planned to reuse my old ones (on the advise of my machinist). Today, when I pressed the old pins out, I found I had 2 different lengths. I can't believe the shorter ones are correct and even if they are, I could never get a proper balance job.

Sorry for your misfortune. I've never bought any pistons that didn't have pins fitted. Your best bet may be to bite the bullet, so to speak, & get the DW pins. After going this far it's probably not a good place to cut corners.

DO measure your pistons very precisely & verify that any new pins will not be too small.
