Not sure if this one has been discussed here, but this is a very interesting 100 GT recreation:

For the 1954 Mille Miglia several of the Special Test cars were done up in GT configuration, with hard tops from Universal Laminations and Dunlop disc wheels. This looks like an exact recreation, even with a 100S engine. I question the serial plate indicating type 100S, but it appears to have the standard BN1 chassis number. Anyway, great looking car.

Anyone know more about it?

Let's call it what is is.....A Clone. With the ugly black vinyl hard top, front dual exterior horn section and questionable chassis number, I'll pass on this one. I think the late Mark Baker got it right with his interpretation of the 100 GT or 100 R in his case.

I can't find anything about its build on the Internet. There exists a vintage photograph of OON441 when it was in GT configuration, complete with hard top, dual horns, and standard 100 grill, and this looks like an exact copy. Too bad Movendi does not explain its provenance, or run a photo of OON441 alongside for context.

The best placed Healey in 1954 was driven by Lance Macklin, it was a 100S prototype with Dunlop alloy wheels but it did not have a hardtop.

As Dougie says, this is a clone, its worth the sum of its parts or whatever someone is willing to pay for a lookalike. There are a number of 100S recreations around in the UK produced by various people. Some are asking this kind of money, whether they get it or not I don't know, but I wouldn't pay it.

I'm with Derek on this one. I think its a good looking creation but pay the sort of premium they're asking, no way. To me its worth no more than any good restoration of a 'standard' car would be. Also trying to pass it off as a 100S with that chassis number you would be opening yourself up to all sort of legal issues.

It's a nice car, what offends me is the fake ID plate. And the cheap GT badge added to the grille flash really lets it down.
What transmission would it be using?
