What's the most original silver, non-reflective paint? Same as the wheel paint (like Moss sells)? Recommendations please!

Thanks, but I was actually looking for a more specific answer like:

"Absolutely - use Krylon P/N 123456 - it's perfect and it matches my original untouched panel and the Concours committee came over and took pictures and gave me a special award"

Like that...
 
I asked the same question a couple of years ago. Search "100 Dash Color" for the thread including an answer from the late Dave Russell.

I couldn't find the Krylon he recommended but I found a satin metallic silver at the hobby shop that looks good. I didn't heed Dave's advise on clear coating and it's very susceptible to scratching. Next time I'll listen. I'll be at Rendezvous but I don't expect a visit or any rewards from the Concours Committee.

I was just asking Rich that same question and the answer was:

The silver we have been using is from PPG's Global paint line. It
is not a formula but the mixing toner BC769 extra fine silver. The Sherwin
Williams equivalent should be toner # U7006. There shouldn't be a
compatibility problem using Sherwin Williams clear on top of the PPG
silver. We have used it many times with success.

The paint line is at the base of the raised instrument pod area.
