10 Years. An amazing milestone for our community. While I haven't been here the entire time, it is fair to say that since signing up in August 2005 (a mere few days after bringing home my first LBC -- our TR-250), BCF has been a part of my daily life, and one that I cherish.

Basil, there are no works that adequately capture the debt of gratitude that I owe you. My hat, sir, is off to you, and I humbly thank you for all of the effort that you put into this remarkable resource, though that word does not truly capture what you have wrought. While this is a wonderful resource, in truth you founded and built a community, and an amazing community at that. You have also forever changed the shape of our hobby, enhanced how we communicate with each other across state borders, international borders and time zones, and helped us forge friendships with like-minded folks we otherwise would never meet.

Your name will always be synonymous with the automobiles that we all love.

Thank you.

B.

I have been thinking about that which Basil has built here alot for the last couple weeks and in the absence of anything profound to say know this: I know you work your tail off to support this "living thing" you have birthed here. I can see the love you have put into it and the "family" you have built.

My thanks to you, Basil.

...now get out of the chair and back to the Spitfire! It's not that cold out there...

AMEN! Congrats to Basil for starting this, and to the whole community for making it.

Hurray!!!

I am really confused. 10 years for the forum or 10 years as a member.

It is hard to believe we're going on our tenth year! Thanks for all the support! It wasn't too long ago that we hit 10,000 members and now we're closing in on 11,000! Here's hoping we continue on for many more years!

I guess it makes me a halfling, then? :jester:
