November 22, 1963.

We had seen Kennedy that morning, then went back to classes at Paschal High School, Fort Worth TX.

We heard the first radio announcement on the PA system, just after lunch.

Two dates I'll never forget ... 11/22 and 9/11. Similar feelings after both ... what's coming next? Lots of fear that the Kennedy assassination was a precursor to a Soviet attack. I visited the School Book Depositary museum as an adult and was surprised how close the distances were to Dealey Plaza. Frankly, it didn't look like such a tough shot with a scoped rifle the conspiracy theorists made it out to be.

I was in the 2nd grade at Rosemont elementary, Oak Cliff, Tx.( blocks from where LHO had rented rooms & a half mile from where he was apprehended at the Texas Theater after officer Tippets had been murdered)
My whole school was on field trip in downtown Dallas for the Presidents visit, though all I remember is being hustled back on the bus. Don't even remember seeing the Presidents motorcade pass.

my Mom was an OR nurse at Parkland Hosp., I remember her coming home, late that night and just crying & crying.

I was exactly one week old.

I was 6, I remember seeing the carriage moving the body to the Capitol for viewing, but not the actual 11/22 reporting. Oswald is supposed to have gotten the marine sharpshooter qualification which while at the bottom of their shooting qualifications is still better than most civilians.

No recollection of it, was only 2. Always feel like the odd man out when the articles start out "all baby boomers remember where they were when JFK was shot". My first recollection of news events is the Gemini launches, much more pleasant memories.

I have all of the newspapers from Lincoln, IL and Springfield, IL from 11/22-11/27, 1963.

I remember that time well....I was in fourth grade.
