Yesterday i went to Atlanta to pick up some new parts and arranged to split a crashed MGA with a friend. I got the complete MGB engine (5000 miles)with x flow head,1 3/4 su's,LCB header and accessories and my good friend Allen got the rest. He ended up with 3 K.O minilites,Full syncro O/D, Dash and all the rest of the hulk. Thats the .5 of a car i got. I will post another thread about the other car.Allen may have a few bits up for sale including a drum brake WW front setup. Bob

Grab every "X" head you can, Bob...I've got 3 on the shelf & they're not going anywhere!

Tony, I have one big valve X cast head on the shelf. This engine came with a crossflow aluminium head. If you want to put a 4th x cast head on the shelf we'll work out a deal! Bob

Bob, when you have time please explain X heads to a noob.

That one was on Craigslist right? Those pics of the damage make me cringe.

The MGA came with a X flow (cross flow aluminium head)The X cast head i have is a cast iron factory head. The one i have appears to have the late style combustion chambers in a non smog 67 or earlier type casting. If i get my projects done today i may get around to posting pics and some basic info on head differences. And yes the MGA was on the Atlanta Craigs list. When i saw the aluminium head, intake,Carbs, valve cover,LCB header,Mallory electronic distributor,Alt and gear reduction starter it was a no brainer for my part of the deal since i was heading to the Big city anyway. Everything appears as advertised with about 5000 miles on all new mechanical parts. Bob

Talk to me about that MGA interior, Bob!!

Bob, I got some super-duper rubbing compound you can borrow, I think that will buff out

Hap, Its gonna take the dent wizzard to assist before we start buffing! Tony, I will PM Allens number. He has everything but the engine and engine accessories. Allen is the fellow you got a set of Saab wheels from and the NOS early MGB shutface plates from. Bob
