just a little info. i received my revell model cars last month and was a little dissapointed. first ,they are made by jadi in china (not a big deal-they look nice). the underpan is plasic. they are tr4 on the outside but tr4a on the inside, square seats (later tr4's had them, no big deal), tr4a shifter with console (don't like that), tr4a parking brake lever (don't like that), engine compartment ok but non ralley (green in my case) has webers like the ralley (light blue)one not su's (don't like that). non ralley version has ralley instruments in the glove box door (don't like that).
so if you are after a 1:18 scale proper model of the tr4, you are still out of luck. revell IS jadi /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

Too bad. I was favorably impressed with the China-made Minimax 1/43 TR4 I got awhile back but would have enjoyed a nice 1/18 version.

The Kyosho 1:18 TR3A (also from China) is a thing of beauty so they can do it if they only will. Maybe you could get one of those and do an engine and interior swap (very nice little SUs on that one).

Kyosho does a great job...I've got a TR3A and an MGB....very nice models.

Mine (the red model) has the correct gear shift lever/console (the console doesn't surround the gear shift lever TR4A style). It does have the other discrepancies you pointed out.

All in all, I thought it was a decent model for the price.
