1 1/2 +1 1/2 = TR3 up-date

Well the progress on the rebuild has been a little slow. I am not going to be able to make it to SLO at least not in the TR3. We have installed most of the engine parts and some trim. I am waiting for some dynamat for the interior. The wiring is almost done Then the gas tank and then fire up the engine. I am really excited to feel how the new HVDA 5-speed works! Some of the upgrades are ceramic coated the intake and exhaust headers, ported out the head and enlarged the intake valves, 5-speed trans and a puller electric fan. Also some extra powder coating on some other parts.

Yep, excellent! As Yogi Berra says 'Its Deja Vu all over again!' I remember similar photos of when you put it together the first time - its great to see you have the energy and talent to erase the damage that careless driver caused.

Super.

You're really making me look bad. I started taking mine apart before you and now you're going to finish pytting it together a second time. Mine isn't even completly taken apart!

It looks great, and I love seeing the progress.

Thanks guys
It is 103 degrees today, and I am waiting for UPS to show up before going out to work on the TR. I hope he shows up at about 9:00 P.M. when it cools down.

I think Randy hit it on the head! Looking Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

I know the feeling it has been to Hot to head out into my garage until later in the evening and then you only have a few minutes to work. But at least you know it will be done for our great fall driving weather!

Ye Ha fall, winter, and spring driving. No more getting up at 5:00am to exercise the TR6 on sunday mornings. Great job on the car Dan. You must have some good friends that help you with the paint and body work to get so much done in such a short time.

This whole thread, well except for the getting into the accident part, has been great. The can-do attitude and your enthusiasm for it is infectious - thanks Dan!

Re: 1 1/2 +1 1/2 = TR3 up-date

Well this weekend we made some progress on the TR3, had a glimmer of getting enough done to drive it down to SLO. To be drivable I need the gas tank in, at least the drivers seat, bleed brakes and clutch, and the rear brake lights hooked up, and door handles installed. After reading the list it may be possible......... No carpet or roll bar. and maybe some oyher interior stuff. Hummmm!!

Yep, unless you want to repeat this one more time, I think that's a good one to have on your punchlist!
