0-60

Me, I'm just hoping to be able to go 0 - 60 -- with my previous tired 948 that wasn't possible.

Bugeye's were listed as about 21 seconds to 60 if I remember properly.

So what do you think? about 17 seconds? That's pretty good for a basically stock car. Seems like you shifted out of third waaaaay early.

I haven't timed mine in a long time, but my midget with a supercharger was doing less than 8 seconds at one point.

Maybe I'll get the Ugly Bug out this weekend and try it for giggles and grins.

I figured 20 seconds. I did it three times - two were 20 seconds and the other was 22 seconds.

Maybe next time I'll take a video of my GPS so I'll get a more accurate time. At least then I could set it up so I can use both hands to steer.

I'm interested in hearing your results. I'll practice. My tach doesn't work and I really had no idea when to shift.

OK, next question. What type of camera were you holding while driving (steering shifting)?

BTW there is a neat and cheap iphone application that will give you 0-60 times and other info.

Notice I said ... at one time was under 8 seconds. The engine was pinging at that point and I had to dial some things back. The other thing that helps is to have "grippy" tires so that you do not have to worry too much about wheel spin.

I think the factory 'stock' figure was approx 14 seconds (for the 1275) but that was before 20-40 years of wear and tear!!!

I was using Dynolicious (sp?)

A Canon A550 digital camera.

As for the 14 second - I'm guessing they had better drivers, too!

I saw a video of an electric motorcycle that did it in less than a second!

A quietness rating of 85?! Well, I guess if you're comparing it to a Beetle and a Fiat 850...

I find the "ideal cruise" of 70 very funny.

I'd probably get to 60 eventually, but I keep running out of road.

What's remarkable about that information (if I read it correctly) wire wheels are an $89 option, while an AM radio is a $90 option.

It just doesn't seem that the material involved in the wheels is equal to that of an AM radio.

Yea but a radio is hi tech. and the wire wheels do replace steel ones.

especially AM

0-60 only used first through third gears.I can attest to the fact that it doesn't accelerate in fourth gear.

I'm hoping to finish the break-in of my new motor soon, and then I might go to "test and tune" at the 1/8 mile strip and see how it goes. I really enjoy going to the test and tune sessions I always get quite a few snickers and stares. However, since it is only 1/8 mile I can usually out run many of the modern "import tuner wannabes".
