Hello,
Working on a BJ8 and I could use advice on how to squeeze the 2 rivets that attach the plate that the vent window handle closes against. Its tricky to get anything inside the window channel to compress the rivets sfficiently so it firmly holds the plate and the rivet does not interfere...

Greetings fellow British car lovers, my names is Rob. I'm in possession of a 1964 Austin Healey 3000 Bj8.
I've owned this car for some time now, in fact over 10 years and have been lurking back here on the forum until I found a bit more time attempt a light restoration. This Healey has always...
Myth: Barn Finds are great cars, will be in great shape and cost little to renovate. FALSE. Let me restate that - VERY FALSE. There are very few exceptions to this. My barn find may or may not be one of these - TBD. The engine was seized, brakes and clutch peddles went to the floor and...

The point is reaching where I have to decide which way to go in regards to replacing my Oil pump and the last discussion ended up heavily into oil type (which has taught me a great deal!).
I am split between the Denis Welsh high pressure (suitable for road cars) which is a rotor...

The rubber boot seal on my BJ8 was incorrectly fitted to the body of the car, instead of the boot itself which I see from pictures is the correct placement.
I am in the middle of the job of gently removing the old glue and rubber from the body of the car which is slow going but...
Hi All,
As I take gentle new steps into the world of classic motoring, I have established I need to replace the rubber bushes on my anti roll bar.
I ordered the bushes from ah spares and wondered if there is anything I need to consider before replacing. Is it as simple as jacking up the car...
I'm told that many Healeys suffer from 'scuttle shake' in the range of 55-60 mph. My BJ8 Phase 1 has shake in the scuttle and steering wheel in the range of 54-62 mph. I have had high speed balance done on all four tires and this has improved the situation somewhat (lower intensity shake), but...
I am "Chuck". Mine is a good ole 1966 Austin healey 3000 that's still plugging along. The kids called the car "Garage Furniture" as we dragged it form place to place over the past 30 years, but finally I have the time to treat it "right" and it's back on the road!
I'm trying to cap a few of...
