I currently have 7" Wagner Halogen headlights fitted to my 100 and would like to learn any members' experiences with upgrading to LED's including the suppliers' customer service, etc.

I run LED’s in my four British cars, and between the higher light output and reduced amp draw, I am extremely happy with them.

On three of my cars I purchased complete LED headlights from Little British Car Company, and on the other I simply changed from conventional H4 bulbs to LED bulbs which I purchased thru Amazon.

I’m currently out of town but can give you the brand name of the bulbs early this coming week.
 
I bought the set offered by LBC Car Company years ago. I like that the power supply/heat seat is integral, but don't like the flat lenses,
 
Speaking of lenses. Be sure your lenses are compatable with whatever LED lamps you choose. I have lenses that I need to change as they are useable but the pattern they throw is not normal. I don't drive at night very much so I only think about doing it when I do and then it gets lost in the blur of everything else I want to do.
 
I used this company. Very satisfied and great customer service. My Healey is all LED except for the headlights, but those are going to changed too.

I have 7" "flamethrower" driving lights. I couldn't find LEDs to fit them, so they have 100W halogen bulbs. Since they should be the brightest lights, I stayed with halogens on the headlights. Also, I think all the front lights should have the same color temperature to look right.

It may be the reflector portion of the headlight that is the issue. If the LED bulb is not positioned where the original bulb was (if a retrofit) the light will not reflect correctly off the facets out through the lens.

Thank you for your replies and in addition to "Headlight Experts" who make great claims for their LED headlights I will also contact LBCCC.

I have read that for whatever reason not all reflectors are compatible with or suited for LED's and wonder if anyone can "shed any light" (yuc yuc) on this?
 
I purchased the LED set up from Moss, which has an option of including the glass lamp. I chose that so the LEDs are compatible with the correct lamp, which says Lucas on it. The LEDs are a brighter Calvin than thehalogen I had.
 
Thanks all for the info and I just ordered a pair of LED headlights as well as LRD front side/turn lights from Headlight Experts.
While going through things I pulled apart my 576's and saw that the reflectors were pretty corroded in spots, so ordered a pair of them with new Halogen bulbs from another supplier, Rogers Motors.
This should keep me busy for a while.
 
I run LED's in my TR-6 headlights & driving lights. I use some Chinese made bulbs that fit right into the H4 & H2 sockets. the brand name is Auxito. I have used these on my British motorcycles and my Japanese sports car as well. I have never had a problem with any of them, and the fit is great. This setup allows me to have lots of light and still use the stock alternator and wiring. I have put lower amperage fuses in the lighting circuits to protect the 53 yr. old wiring. Originally, Triumph installed 35-amp fuses in everything. Bad idea in my way of thinking. I usually buy these LED's on eBay. ...J.D.

I have heard of great success with Bangin Headlights. They apparently create a warm light similar to halogen with a much lower voltage draw…and they look like a standard bulb…oh and they are a sealed bulb.

Actually some of us do drive our cars at night and even in the rain!
Plus, since I run my headlights even during the day anything I can do to increase my being seen is a good thing.

Just installed LED H4 Auxito bulbs into my crystal clear lens lamps. Perfect plug and play. No adjustment to beam focus. Twice the brightness of the halogen replacements. Also replaced parking lights with LED's. Headlamps were purchased years ago from Victoria British called Euro. Now available from Moss. All rear lights switched to LED's(1156-1157) years ago including 3rd brake light and license plate. Turn signal wiring needed resisters on each side and electronic flasher. One thing that should be touched on. With LED bulbs, it is imperative the bulb be indexed in the fixture correctly. In LED bulbs the light pattern is shaped by the bulb itself, not the lense. To get the proper flat beam you must make sure it is installed right. On my car, I switched to the European style H-4 headlight fixture, then installed an Auxito LED. That way, I can change bulbs to anything I want at will, without having to change the whole sealed beam assembly. ...J.D.

I like running my TR-6 in the summer, after dark when it is cooler. It helps to have lots of LED lighting. ...J.D.
