TVR 2500M diff mounts

Hi,
I'm replacing all the bushings and mounts on my 2500M as many of the front suspension were bad including both main and tie rod ball joints.
Front was easy and I have one side, passenger, disassembled and replaced three wishbone and trunion bushings with Poly.
I also replaced the engine mount, which gave me a little hard time fitting it back, but it's done.
Q: I'll be done with the front by this weekend and will work on the rear. I have both the front and rear mounts for the Diff. Had anyone replaced them with the body still on the chassis?
Do I need to separate the U- joint shaft in order to release any pressure/force holding the Diff and not allowing me to raise or lower it?
Any tips or help is appropriated.

Next, I might remove the transmission cover and insulated it. Interior is in great condition and hopefully trying to remove the cover won't require me to rip any carpets or misc parts. I've seen videos for Triumph cars but TVR might be different

Thanks,
Anatole

This job is easier done with the rear window removed. The diff can be removed, but might be difficult by yourself.
There is no transmission cover. The top can be removed from underneath the car.

Interesting, but my M has a fixed window, the seal and trim look new/undamaged. What's weird unless every M was different, I don't have the tool area in the back. The carpet is glued in. I can try and remove it as I have upholstery glue, but maybe mine came like that!!!!
BTW, I only want to replace the mounts as my diff is fine, unless your solution is the only option, short of raising the body off the car.

I'll check the tunnel cover today

Gave you the easy way. Some cars don’t have a removable panel at the rear. If yours doesn’t, I would convert it.
Your window isn’t fixed. You pull the chrome locking strip and take the window out.
Would not lift the body as it isn’t needed.
