TR6 Changing bulbs in gauges

Thought about it but there is no way to repair it. The red sleeve inside that is on a spring is no good and there's just no way of opening it. Unless you know how to do it?
Why can you just solder a new wire lead onto the base where it broke off without opening the receptacle?
If that’s not possible then carefully drill it out and use a rivet with a hollow tube to solder a new wire in. I’m sure you can cut some plastic material for insulation and find a suitable spring or just reuse the old spring.

You might try Holden also. I find they have all kids of stuff that I don't need, but love to look through.

You have to see it to understand it. Believe me I looked at it for a long time trying to figure out if I could somehow save it but can't.

Nope. Another dead end but thanks. I thought for sure someone would have an old one laying around somewhere.

Check and see if the bulb socket that goes into the 'Wiper" lamp or the "Hazard Warning" lamp on your dash will fit into your voltmeter; if so, I have one of those I can spare to put in your voltmeter...BUT it is a bayonet, which means you'd have to buy and use a LED bayonet bulb.
OR you could buy the Moss bulb holder that I linked and just end it all with getting the bayonet LED

There is some logic to trying to repair it. I have used Dormen sockets from Autozone, Advanced etc. I pirate the middle section out of the new socket then sand it down to the size I need. If it is a screw in bulb it's okay if it will slide out the front. Can you post a picture of the socket in question.
