Visiting my Healey at R-Good's AutoWorks, the body panels are all being massaged to get perfectly level and door gaps consistent... priming is next. The only rust repair was a trivial rust spot on left rear... most rust free Healey I've personally ever had. You can see the carb access panel, oil cooler ducts and side vents. After priming, it comes home so I can disassemble to dig into more chassis items. The EFI engine is done and has been run-in on an engine stand. There is a lot to do, but it's getting there.

I have to take a minute to brag on the metal craftsmanship by the 2 amazing artisans that did the metal work on the carb access panel, Chris Mack, and the side vents, Brad Aregood. I have a tremendous admiration for their skills. Yes, it will all be covered with paint, but knowing the beautiful foundation is still a source of pride.

Then side vents... custom made to my pattern. Pattern taken from a rubbing from Pat Moss's car when it was a JME's shop in Leamington Spa. I think some of these kinds of mods can best be appreciated in bare metal.

That's some beautiful work, Steve. I also noticed how nice the door gaps and alignment of the cove lines are.

Good eye Rick. I image you also noticed the care Brad (body guy extraordinaire) takes in installing the side vents to match the cove lines. Having seen and photographed a number of real Works cars side vents, I must admit he is much more careful with the esthetics than they ever were!
