Does this discount apply to customized (individualized) prints as well?

Poor ol' BN6L-942 just isn't as original as she was initially built...

(just tried to upload some recent pics, but they're apparently too large; will have to resize, or post to my website first...)

Randy, depending on the kinds of "improvements", that's a qualified "yes". Wheels, roll bars, carbs, etc., I'm okay on. If you have a nasty boy, I'd be happy to illustrate you car but would need to wait until after the first of the year.

Great, thanks for the quick reply! It's nearly all Healey__certainly as far as the driveline is concerned__but there is a list that I've compiled for just the purpose of getting one of your illustrations.

Christmas delivery would not be required; a gift to myself, so the timeline doesn't matter.

Just order on the site then and either strip your list of changes into the Special Instructions box, or you can e-mail them to me. As far as the image uploads, the form is limited to 5GB of shots and only in jpeg, tiff, and/or PDF formats. No RAW or PhotoShop files. Ditto on the shots though, if you have trouble attaching them you can always e-mail them to me directly.

Bottom line is, if the changes are mostly bolt on (like the wheels I see in the photo), there's no problem getting the illustration into one of the last print runs before Christmas.

David, I *just* uploaded twenty (20) pictures to my gallery: https://spcarsplus.com/gallery3/index.php/Images_for_David_Townsend?page=1

In most cases, clicking on an opened image in the album will bring up the full resolution version, which is great for studying details.

Some of the images are redundant, but included for the sake of scale (like the rear nerf bars and side vents, for example) but they are oldest first, with the latest__current status__at the end of the album on page three (3).

I will fill out your online form, including special instructions, listing the prominent details/variations of the car, later today (I really need to get back to work...).

Thanks, your 20% incentive was what it took to push me over the fence!

As you can see, the BCF signature pic is woefully outdated!

Randy,

Just finished a quick review of the pictures you sent and there's nothing there, except the rear nerf bars, that I haven't already drawn on someone's car (including the triple Weber set-up) so I think we're good to go. Looks like a nice ride. Must get up and scoop with the Webers.

Okay, done deal!

Thanks David, looking forward to seeing it, but still not worried about a rush order

His previews sure look good! I'm a sucker for a cutaway drawing__always have been__love just staring and picking out the details ;)

Randy,

You will really be pleased. He did a fantastic job on my two. He even included my batch / body plate, VIN plate, and engine plate at my request!

Thanks,
Duane

Ooohhh, Batch/body plate!

David, is it too late to add this (and I might suggest no more temptations from the peanut gallery please... ;) )?

You may also note that the black paint is completely gone from the VIN tag; been that way since I got it in 1978, if you'd care to replicate that detail too.

I really am stoked about this; I've wanted one since David posted pictures of the first Hundred he did here.

I don't even think he had announced yet his intention to do the whole model run. Ideally, I'd order about ten (>10) of them, covering the whole production run. Then I'd want all the Special Test Cars, Streamliners and Rally Cars too! Can't forget my roots either, so that'd mean another dozen or so MGB, BGT & CGT prints, plus a few of the Specials, but who could stop there?!?!

Say David, are you doing the BMW Z3/M Coupes and Rdstrs yet...?

And then, I wake up, realizing that I'll already be scrounging for wall space just to hang BN6L /942's print. But it was fun to dream!

David, do you have recommendations on mounting/framing? Historically, I have always done minimalist black metal frames, acid-free mounting and non-glare glass (you give up a little clarity/sharpness, but worth it__to me__to eliminate any reflections). I trust I'll find a local frame shop that can pick out the best mat color(s); there's a lot of artists in Sarasota (heck, my wife even owns a small gallery there!)...

No problem adding the plates...faded paint included at no additional cost.

No BMWs as of yet but I do have the SPL227 cars (in all forms) from the '53 and '54 endurance runs and there are plans to do the red rally car at some point.

As for framing, I use frames from Dick Blick Art (dickblickart.com) for my personal stuff. The sell both wood and metal frame sections though I prefer the wood for its warmth. Cost is very reasonable and you can source the glass locally. I usually don't matte the car prints but that's my personal taste.

David - I asked you at Enclave about doing the Longbridge BN4 from the driver's side view with the locking door handle. Is this something that is currently not available?
thanks for the update.:driving:

Still not available as one of my regular prints as it would require me to draw a completely different site of the drive train. It was, and is, always available as a commission piece and I would be happy to oblige you once my current project is caught up, some time in late January. Please feel free to e-mail (david at sportscarart dot com) or PM for additional information.

Regards,
