I'm continually impressed with young people these days.

Yesterday, I was having dinner at a local burger place. The young lady working the counter and expediting orders was cheerful, friendly and efficient.

I was wearing my Black Knight t-shirt (it's just a flesh wound) and when she saw it she laughed and said it was her favorite movie, ever.

The future is in good hands.

It's good when you encounter a kid who has good taste, I had a student just a day or two ago reference The Evil Dead II in class.

And I had a student just a few days ago, who referenced Marcus Aurelius.

Meditations, Book 2, first entry. And it still applies today.

"Marcus Aurelius? Wasn't that a car made by Lancia?"

Tom, Sadly, very few of my kids know who Marcus Aurelius was.

One of my favorites,

Everything we hear is an opinion, not fact.
Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.

Yes!

And one of my favorites:

When you wake up in the morning, remember you'll be dealing with the busy-body, the ungrateful, the arrogant, the deceitful, the envious, the unsocial ... But it's not their fault, and we must all work together.
