Parked at a local Mexican restaurant near my house tonight was a white 300SL Gullwing. Possibly worth more than the restaurant, though the food there is tasty. So nice to see one actually being used like a car.
 
That was actually me -just stopped by for a plate of nachos. My Mercedes S550 was in the shop getting its aromatherapy beads recharged.

The 300SL - one of the *great* cars of the 1950s.
 
I guess the owner was eating inside, as I am unsure how they'd hang the tray on the window if using service-at-your-car.
 
Out west and being a 300 owner, it sure was not nachos....more like carnitas or chicken mole'.

No service-at-the car at this spot, just really great Mexican food. And nice Mercedes, apparently. :grin:

It is great to know that some of the owners of these magnificent cars actually drive them as they were intended.
 
The roads of the world would be so much more beautiful and interesting if, the members of the BCF had the money that so many car collectors have. I know I'd own a SSJ Duesenberg and I'd drive it.

The 500K is an absolutely gorgeous car, I had a poster of one hanging up in my room when I was a kid.
