I wonder what has been done to that engine with the tach going to 8K. That doesn't seem normal for a 1275.

I doubt anything... in fact if you look the couple times the dash is shown while the car is being driven, you's see the tach needle sitting at zero, so it doesn't even work. It most likely a DMH or factory racing option.
