It has been announced that Chris Squire died over the weekend.
All through my teen years at college and University barely a day would go by without Yes taking a spin on my turntable. When I want to immerse myself in music Yes is still my first port of call. I don't think anyone has bettered Fragile or Close to the Edge in the world of progressive rock.
I was planning to go and see Yes when they came to the UK next year but with the passing of Chris and Wakeman and Anderson no longer in the fold I fear there sound will be too 'diluted'.
