After the rear shock and rear leaf spring replacement I notice that the car seems to pull slightly to the left when I'm cruising along and then press the go pedal down. Is this just torque I never noticed before or is it completely unrelated to the upgrade? The car goes straight when taking hands off the wheel on the highway.
 
Doesn't have that much torque. Off hand, sounds like the rear axle may be loose (moving slightly at the spring saddle) or out of alignment. Tom

Not familiar with the term "spring saddle". Do you mean the U clamps that bolt the spring to the axle?
 
Saddle is the bit welded to the axle tube that keeps the axle flat the the spring leaf...held together with u-bolts.
But it's probably the coil.

I think this is a TR3, leaf springs in the rear. I'm not sure what coil TOC is referring to. Yes, the saddle if the part welded to the axle housing where the leaf spring attaches with u-bolts. It is further located by the head of the spring centerbolt, which rests in a recess in the saddle. It is possible (from experience) to button things up having missed the recess with the centerbolt. That would cause a misalignment.
This is a guess only. Lots of things to cause pulling to the side.

It's always the coil. Whatever ails you on an LBC, just replace the coil...well, according to some.
 
I once had the coil wire short out against the speedometer cable...the speedometer went all the way to "Made in England" and the 3 went dead....easy fix though.:glee:
