Went to Auburn Cruise night last Friday. There were 5 big Healeys there. A record! Very nice cars also. A few other British cars showed up. Most of the display is American cars, but the odd British get more people to stop and stare. And half the crowd used to own one, or their roommate had one. It is fun to sit by the car and answer questions from the crowd.

Next weekend it will be sitting with even more Healeys at the UBSCC car show in Dixon, CA. See you there.

There are hundreds of cars there, oh, and trucks. Sometimes people bring military vehicles, and a truck with a helicoptor jet engine in it. They have to be older than about 197??? or they won't let you park. You have to show up by no later than 430 PM, they start parking the cars at 5PM. If you have a British car (small) you can squeeze into a lot of the holes that are created by the parking crew.

I've been 'hijacked and 'forced' to drive in parades in Bodega Bay and Nevada City; and I was just passing through (even got a couple 'Best of Show' votes).

A boating buddy of mine who lives in Colfax has been working with the group that puts on the Cruise Night for many years. He is also friends with the owner of the turbine-powered Chevy pickup that Jerry mentioned.
There is a vehicle limit and they had to turn away many this past weekend. He said more than 400 had showed up.
