Pretty cheap compared to most vehicles. You might ask who the manufacturer is (and country of origin). Pilkington is probably the source of choice for most British vehicles but I do not know if they make a TR3 windscreen.

I just looked on line and it shows TRF at $229 and Moss at $324. TRF Shows a $199 sale price, but I suspect that may have expired. Worth checking though.

I have bought windscreens for TR4's from TRF and they are good quality.

The windscreen I purchased from VB was curved vertically so the wipers would only touch in the center. Took forever to get my money back. That was two years ago, maybe they fixed the problem.

TRF P/N is 800592/CL. Usually (though apparently not always), they will honor the sale price shown on the web site, even if the web site says it is expired.

Not too many years ago, I found a local "auto glass" place that said they could get one. Don't recall the price for just the glass, but the quote including installation was around $400 IIRC. The cable guy dropped a wrench on my spare windshield after entering the yard without permission, so I only needed the quote to dicker with the cable company. They paid with no complaint at all.

I found one at a local glass store also. They ordered it and I think it was about 180.00 but that was a few years ago.

Don't know about the rest of the world, but in SC, auto insurance companies are required to replace busted wind screens at no out of pocket expense or claim retribution.

(one of the very few perks our sc govt sponsors)

Same in AZ - but I think many states do not insist on this. Was it car owners or glass shop owners who got that passed? Anyway, works for me.

Same apparently in Florida. I just got the windscreen replaced on my '02 Accord. They come right to your door. Interesting procedure. No, they don't smash it with a hammer...

Just before I was going to order my windshield, I called Haggerty. They're sending me a check (in my name). I can take it to any shop I want and if the check won't cover the repair, they'll kick in the difference. They also said that since I was not at fault, my rates won't be effected.
Can't beat that. Thanks Haggerty.

Be better to thank the state of Florida.
I'd wager, Haggerty wouldn't offer the benefit unless they had too, as a requirement to do business in FL.
( that's how it is in SC & the insurance companies do not like it)

but, good for you!
