Wedge Got A Wedgie..

Picked up this wedge this weekend for a good price. I'm excited to start fixing it up. Currently runs and has minimal surface rust underneath. No holes though. Does anyone know if the seats/rails for all the years of the tr7 are the same? The ones in this car are from a different TR7, but they don't line up on the drivers side for some reason. Anyway, wish me luck...I will need it :p

Good luck with your new TR!
I happened to go through Fleetwood this afternoon on the way back from Bethlehem.

Welcome to the BCF and congrats on your purchase! I had a TR8 a while back and enjoyed it immensely.

Pretty sure the seats/rails didn't change during production. Are you sure they're oriented correctly? Or maybe you have two passenger side sets...

There are quite a few motorcycle events in Oley. Is the antique show at the Reading Motorcycle Club? I've never been to that one.

Mickey,
I didn't think they would have changed much. Maybe I have some sagging foam/inner seat material that is hitting the center console making it difficult to align the seats? They rails don't seem bent or damaged, and they move freeley when the adjustment bar is engaged. I didn't get into it too much yet.

The AMCA meet,Antique Motorcycle Club of America ,is at the Oley fairgrounds, just down the road from the Reading MC club.I am only familiar with this event,35 years or older, most older than that, teens twenties etc.

If you go and get thirsty, the Oley fire dept. is adjacent with open bar,and a great place for lunch.
PS.
For some Wedge content, checkout Annandale NJ or Central Jersey Craigs list for an original paint TR7,looks to be worth the 1300.asking.
My garage is full.

I wonder if there was a difference between the hard and soft tops . The inner rockers are much larger to carry the load that the hard top would have so maybe the seat rails were different because there was less room.

I have a 77 TR7 and a 80 TR8 roadster and seats and rails are the same except for the upholstry.

I have a good TR7 4 cyl engine for sale in Sanford, NC. Doing a TR8 swap into the coupe if you find you need one. Carbs and intake are sold.

The engine seems pretty good in this one so far, so I think I'm ok. There is only 66k on the motor/trans. If you have any interior parts or some exterior parts, available let me know. I may be interested depending what the parts are.
