Did John Lennon have an Austin Healey BJ8, as this seller claims?

https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=207223868

German translated

Vehicle that belonged to John Lennon . Import from Hollywood. Owner proof could be obtained for an additional charge , however, is associated with costs in the 5 digit range !
Austin Healey Mk III Original vehicle in excellent condition ! In Switzerland approved with veterans entry . The car is driven regularly in warm weather when not in use and is available in a heated dry Showroom an auto repair shop.

Well, John Lennon owned an Austin Princess. Paul McCartney owned an Austin Healey and this was the car he supposedly was killed in ("Paul is dead") in 1966. Someone combined the two methinks.

Maybe McCartney got the idea from Bob Dylan, who used his motorcycle accident in 1966 as an excuse to stop touring for eight years and focus on his family. Supposedly a 500cc Triumph Tiger 100. See: https://wzlx.cbslocal.com/2014/07/29/bob-dylan-motorcycle-accident-1966/

I remember at the time we all heard rumors Dylan was dead.

Dylan drew more water in my circle than McCartney. Wonder who "died" first. Wonder if the two "dead" guys hung out together at Dylan's place in Woodstock.
[apologies for highjacking the thread]

I DO NOT Know but that is one pretty car.:greedy_dollars:

In doing the research on Celebrity Healeys I never found any reference that John owned a Healey. Julian, though, owned a frogeye: https://www.heyjules.com/valotte/tv/1985apr9letterman.html The fact the seller is advertising proof of John's ownership "could be obtained for an additional charge" makes me a bit suspicious as I would think that would be a major selling point of the car. The ad says the car from John's estate, so perhaps it was something bought later in his life and kept in a collection. Anyway, I'd want to see the proof and I'm not sure how much of a premium his ownership would bring.

Agree..smells very fishy......
