Argentina Helicopter Midair Crash

Reality TV is an oxymoron. It's scripted reality. What ever happened to good old script writing with things called plot and character development? Reality TV is a way to make a show on the cheap without having to pay those pesky actors and their SAG scale. Some of these reality shows are so scripted you can see the so-called "plot twists" coming from 10 miles away. WWE wrestling is more realistic than these shows.

There are a couple shows that I do like in the genre -- BBC's Top Gear probably at the top of the heap, and I do enjoy Counting Cars and American Restoration, so long as you take the plot twists with a grain of salt you can enjoy some of the really cool hardware on the show.

Rut roh.....Top Gear may be in peril. I read today that Mr. Clarkson got himself in a spot of hot water - again - and was sent to the Principal's office.

Saw that in the news. There's no way they'll drop Clarkson -- Top Gear is too much of a money maker for the BBC, and Clarkson is a big part of that. May and Hammond are both funny in their own right, but Clarkson is so irreverent and politically incorrect that he causes more "water spurting up my nose" laughs than the others, as his remarks seem to come flying out of nowhere.

I agree, Top Gear existed before Clarkson but wasn't a hit like it is now. Clarkson is so popular, that if he left the show the BBC would lose quite a few viewers and quite a bit of revenue.

And that is close to happening. Prime Minister involved, but says he has more important things to tend to than Top Gear! ???
