Saw Blithe Spirit with Angela Lansbury. What a delightful show. And, at 89, Lansbury was amazing. Just a delightful and very clever comedy with no deep meaning, agnst, rude language or mature themes. Just plain fun. Well worth seeing if it comes your way.

I thought she was dead. I hated her show as a kid; nosey old lady.:smirk:

They did teach you that TV shows aren't real didn't they? and how to turn things off. :p

Didn't matter, just flippin through and the thought of some nosey old broad with nothing better to do turned me off.

Lansbury was *excellent* in The Manchurian Candidate (1962). I've been an admirer ever since then.

Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd. Worst pies in London.

I always figured that in "Murder, She Wrote" Lansbury was playing a serial killer. Think about it, murder's always seem to happen when she is around, for a small sleepy town Cabot Cove has a very high murder rate, and Jessica is always very interested in finding the culprit (scape goat for her crimes). So was she just a busybody, or was she a sick and deviant mind who not only wrote murder but also committed it.

Ah, just a coincidence, eh?

(I think some folks thought the same about Miss Marple, Poirot, and Holmes ...)

And of course ...

Love Angela Lansbury. Murder She Wrote is my wife's favorite show on Net Flix.

Oh man that would have been a great last episode!

Either that or someone come up behind her and wack her for a change.

...It'd be my favorite show then....:encouragement:

Mine is into the murder-mystery stuff too, Taylor Swift as well. You would think that women would be turned off by folks gettin' killed.

I always ruin it for her in the first 3 minutes. I'm really good at picking out patterns and/or reading b/w the lines. It's real easy especially when it's the same plot that's ben recycled since '56.

I prefer comedy myself. I can't get enough of "The Goldbergs" and I thought I would have hated it too. Having a sense of humor and being able to relate to that era on that levels helps too.
