Mine is, Blue Bloods! Love that show, incorporating a family atmosphere into the fighting of crime. Love the dinner table sessions! :encouragement: PJ

Three-way tie: All three NCIS iterations.

Television show? what is this thing "television show"?

I sure have some favorites, but they haven't been on the air for over twenty years!

Now into news shows, history documentaries, period drama, PBS, etc. The commercials on non-public tv are necessary, but unfortunately a real turnoff for me.

Bring back All in the Family, Maude, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, MASH, Sanford and Son! And of course, one of my all time favorites:

Gee wiz Tom, do you guys still have crank phones and a dial? :highly_amused: PJ

phone? what is this thing "phone"? :jester:

Actually, this thread got me thinking about what I *do* spend time at. Not much TV, that's for sure. But catching up on friends, lots of volunteer work, continuing the book list I've been ticking off (now on Massie's "Nicholas and Alexandra", next up Manguel's "The Library at Night"), and music I enjoy.

F'rinstance:

(Can you tell I think country music went downhill when Porter Waggoner put on a sequined jacket?)

(I also like C-SPAN)

#1 favorite of all time: Fawlty Towers
Lately (Mostly NetFlix):

Dick Van Dyke show
Frasier
Columbo
Murder She Wrote
Keeping Up Appearances
Numbers

Like Bas, I'm a fan of Keeping Up Appearances.

Also, Fawlty Towers. And we tend to watch As Time Goes By and Rosemary & Thyme quite often.

We've been big fans of Downton Abbey for the last few years.

Plus Top Gear.

So......lots of Brit TV (all on PBS).

As far as American TV, we tend to watch The Good Wife and Person of Interest

I watch my 4 grandkids twice a week (two at a time). So I also watch some kid's shows. I really like Peppa Pig (another Brit TV show)

at the moment Broadchurch, waiting on the Blacklist, Banshee and Strikeback to return

Crusader rabbit and rags the tiger!!!!!! It can't get any better.
bluebloods and blacklist
game of thrones

I don't really have a favourite. I always enjoy Brit comedies such as Blackadder and the like but also a particular satirical series, Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister. Very funny, whatever your politics. They manage to make if very non-specific.

Two favorites as adults, which are both no longer on the air: "Homicide: Life on the Street" and "Third Watch", although both series Jumped the Shark in the last couple of seasons.

These days, I don't watch too much TV. Top Gear is one of my faves (as it is with my daughter) and I'll occasionally peek into "NCIS" and "Criminal Minds". Most nights, I'd rather be in the garage tinkering with something than sitting back watching the tube.
