I am putting the cross tube back on the frame and lost track of the bolts that held it. The parts catalog maintains an HB.0906, but I am not sure how to translate that. It calls for lock washers, so it must be regular nuts and it looks like about an inch long on the bolt. I just kinda want to put it back together the way it came apart. Does anyone know the length?

HB0906 is 3/4" long. The last two digits are the length, in 1/8" increments. 6/8 = 3/4.

Randall, that's an interesting site. I haven't seen it before.
I wonder when it was first published? There's no mention of a "Philips head" screw, only a "cross recess" head.
I know that Philips didn't invent the cross pattern. I believe his contribution was the self centering feature. Plus, it would "kick out" the driver before distorting the head. Seems simple enough now, but what an advancement at the time.

Sorry, I don't know when it was first published. Those aren't even my scans, all I contributed were the bookmarks. ISTR I got the scans from Carl Musson, but I could be mistaken (and they might not have been his scans either).
However, I believe that Phillips head isn't listed because Standard-Triumph didn't use them. Their "cross head" screws were just enough different to avoid paying licensing fees to the Phillips Screw Company.
