I'm back after being away for a couple of years. The Maserati Khamsin is now sold its time to work on the Sprite again.

Anyone got a 5 speed and kit hanging around they would like to sell for a 1275 ?

Cheers

Mark

Currently a 5 speed on flea bay. I have an engine adapter plate that I would part with. The rest you would have to fabricate. The plate dates from when folk's first started adapting the Datsun 5 speed and it came with the instructions for making up everything else.

I have a new adapter plate that I'm building my 5 speed kit around and really like the process of putting it together myself. With a list of the correct parts needed to make it work it's pretty straight forward and much less expensive than a kit. That said, the kits currently available are really nice, it's the 210 transmission that's a bugger to find at a decent price. I always check flea bay and Craigslist for abandoned car projects and/or used cars that have been converted...sometimes they sell for less than the conversion alone.

I'd make sure that '81 210 has a 5 speed and not a 4 speed. Thought I found one locally 2 years ago only to find out it was a 4 speed.

Mark,

If you haven't been around for a while, you may not know that I make a complete kit, and it's the best made one available, and also uses the better Datsun clutch. I have a Rally version gearbox that will need a rebuild I will sell reasonably, and I have an associate that sells rebuilt ones for about the same as the as-is ones you find on e-bay. Email me direct if you are interested.

Kens MG Experience name is kgmgmach., but I don't have his ebay name.
