Twilight Zone is one of my favorite classic TV shows. It's amazing to look back at how many people were on that show that later became big names in TV. Probably most notable is William Shatner. If you watch those old episodes, you will occasionally see references to towns in upstate N.Y. Rod Serling was from my neck of the woods. It was creepy growing up to hear towns around me named in those stories. Another connection I personally have is that an actor from that time shared my name. He was never very famous, but he did play the neighbor that gets killed in the episode "Monsters On Maple St."
So many actors, and so many "classic" tv shows, gave us so many good times. Beverly Hillbillies, Ed Sullivan, Dinah Shore, Science Fiction Theater, Carol Burnett, Twilight Zone, and on and on.
Wonder what actors and shows will be greatly missed fifty years from now.
Since about the 70's they just don't make TV like the used to. There are very few "shows" lately that hold my attention. But I suspect shows like Cheers, Taxi, Frasier, WKRP will not soon be forgotten.

We are paying for over 300 channels and watch, at most, 6!.......I've never seen so much garbage on TV.
