I am trying to "prise" the left front turn signal on my Bugeye, but can't seem to get it on.
What tool works best to prise the metal ring into the rubber holder.
I have tried and tried and can only get the metal ring that holds the beehive light about have way prised on.

I just used a small flat blade screwdriver. Don't remember it being that difficult.

That's what I use, too, but be careful. The blade can slip and gouge your paint. Safest way is to round the points of the blade off and tape around the area that could be damaged by a slip. Sometimes a little soapy water or silicone spray can help the rim slide in easier.

A little low heat from a hair dryer helps.

I have a set of dental picks that I use for this sort of thing - I think HF sells them too

New rubber for the gaskets helps as well. If you are trying to install on old non pliable, sun hardended gaskets it's really hard.

Hang it there... it's a pain (and I'm not convinced at all the rubber bases are the same). I think I used something like a dental tool with a small hook on it.
