Dictaphone?

1970s man-bag... or Dictaphone of some kind. :p
No, wait, Mission Impossible recorder about to burn up after Phelps uses it.

a-HA! The IBM Executary 224, a dictating machine from the 1960s.

The "electronic secretary" - no man should be without one.

Hey, watch it! I carried the darned thing for years. It's NOT a "Dictaphone" - that was a competitor.

Yes, it's a dictating machine. It has a magnetic belt about 2 inches wide inside in a single loop. You recorded "dictation" and then gave the belt to a "secretary" to transcribe.
Those were the days...

Tom was right the first time, I'm just being snippy.

"Manbag" indeed!

I still have it.

I do remember these (though I never used one). Probably a collector's item now.

Ready for another?

What were these used for?

Depends on how you define "printing". And it wasn't just "printing", but also "erasing".

They'd bring back "really old memories" ...
