I hope when they catch him he gets a free ride in the balloon.... One way of course.
 
I wonder if they were going after the Suburban. Balloons are hard to sell since they are so unique and a small market. Turns out she lives ten blocks from me.

Actually that is the most likely scenario. The theft could have been to steal the Suburban and the balloon just happened to be an unwitting part of the theft.
 
Yea, someone probably just saw an SUV and trailer and didn't care what was on it. Might find the ballon dumped somewhere around that area.

Had not heard that Paul, but would not be surprised. I was there a few years ago when the Smokey the Bear balloon ran into the 770 Kkob 400ft radio tower. Very lucky on that one! The pilot and a young boy had to climb down the tower from almost the top.

Yes I remember that! It was scary to watch them climbing down on the news video.
