Just noticed that there are more than twice the total posts on the Triumph forum than on the MG forum! Does that mean that there are twice as many problems with the Triumphs than MGs ? Just thought I'd ask. :encouragement: PJ

Of course there are!

I thought Triumphs were supposed to be the easier car to fix?

not really, Triumph owners just have more experience fixing them. Remember, 80% of Triumphs are still on the road. The rest managed to drive home or get a tow.

MY wife drove a 73 GT6 for 10 yrs and 90K miles. If I remember right she threw 4 :smile:joints, 1 clutch, 2 full sets of brakes, 1 timing chain. We took it to Myrtle Beach in 76 for vacation and averaged 40 mpg and ran with the semis down the mountains. No problems, but for some reason was doing tune, and did a compression test, had fried a valve at 50K. Fixed and ran until the fulcrum bolts in rear broke. Never had time to fix, sold to a kid, who actually restored it, with all my extra parts. Still recognise today, as I put in 72 chrome trim due to an electrical fire. 73 had black trim.

BUICK! JOHN, I might talk more, but like Nial, my car has been on the cover of a sports car magazine and I race mine longer and harder than most.

How do you say "MG" in Chinese? :smirk:

Modern Gentleman of course (seriously) BTW, in the midst of various silliness, it is probably worth at least noting that there are two MG forums - one for Spridgets and one for evrything else but only one for all Triumphs.

Good point, JP, and taken together there are about the same amount of threads and posts as are in the TR section.

Silliness? Here?

Noticed on my area Craigslist, there are twice as many Triumphs as MGs.

LOL, I knew it would get a few comments! Had to wake some of you guys up and get you talking! It worked! :encouragement: :highly_amused: PJ
