While browsing through pictures from the recent Misselwood Concours in Beverly, MA I was surprised to find this pic of my boot badge.

There were some truly beautiful cars entered in the concours (mine was just in the parking lot) in a wonderful setting. Enjoy some more photos here:

Yep those are original you can see some missing lettering's red paint in the picture.

Very upscale. Was your top up, Rick?
Chris...

It's in a beautiful location and sometimes referred to as "The Pebble Beach of the East" I've not been to PB, but have been to Amelia Island. Misselwood is much smaller than Amelia. And, no, my top wasn't up and I got well and truly soaked on the way home.

Patina is good for maybe another $10k but even more value can be added if you can call it a "barn find".

Wow, I'm going to be rich! The original owner took it out of his barn and brought it to my friend's shop in 1985 to try and get it running again. That's where I saw it and bought it. Good thing New Englanders are "thrifty" and never discard anything, it just gets shoved in the barn.

The whole "barn find" and "patina" things are pretty funny. The reason the car got shoved in the barn was there was something bad wrong with it in the first place and the reason it has patina is that it was already pretty beat already. The only barn find car I truly lusted after was the "dirt bag" Cobra:

NOPE:
That do not count. You have to find it in ah barn and drag it out U self.:wink-new:

I must be artsy because I took the same shot of my badge at last year's British Invasion.

Ah, but yours is in mint condition. To be artsy the 3000 flash should have some missing paint, and the chrome should be noticeably pitted. Alas, your photo is just a snapshot. Plus, you don't have a gigantic watermark superimposed on your photo to tell the world, "I can't get over myself."
