Tomorrow we finally get our countertops installed in our newly remodeled kitchen! It's going to be soooo nice having a functional kitchen again!

Aside from hooking up the sink/faucet/drain, is that all that's left... or are there black-splashes still to go?

Yep, hooking up sink, dishwasher and faucet is all that will be left!

Photos please. Smiling for Mary. I'm surprised she didn't run away. Having gone thru this Reno a couple of months ago, all I can say is never again unless I'm miles and miles away. Next year all new carpet. I'll not be home for that and Doug has been advised accordingly. I know, I'm a spoiled brat but at least I'll keep my sanity.

I recall years ago when I built my previous house (I built the entire thing).

Anyway, we had a house-warming party with a bunch of friends. The countertops were in but the drain to the kitchen sinks weren't done.

So one of my friends, not realizing this, dumps his drink down the sink. We still laugh about it.

Congrats on moving forward. Home ownership can be a real adventure! (I'm putting down new weed barrier and spreading 10 cu yards of mulch today).

It's 90F here. With 50% humidity so heat index is about 90 also.

I just took the Miata down to Home Depot with the top down. Had the A/C on! :highly_amused:
