TR6 Cruciform [T shirt] and possible trailing arm mount replacement

Has anyone replaced their cruciform?

The lower one on my car is crumbling away (I can break it with my fingers).

Also Looking at the left trailing arm mount box section the interior bracing has rusted away. I haven't looked at the right side yet.

So, since the body is off the frame, I'm thinking now is a good time to replace the bottom cruciform and possibly the trailing arm box sections as well.

If any one has any pointers, or gotchas I should be aware of I'd like to know.

My frame looks to be in similar condition to yours. I haven't taken the cruciforms off yet. I was planning to build a jig similar to what you've done, and seeing your site is confirming that I am on the right track.

Another good one. Nice detail with the way the swing arm mount is welded to the rest of the frame.
