What kind of shotgun?
 
Like Free Willy but different.
 
Better yet, jewelry place here has a sign, "Buy her a ring, you get a shotgun". Talk about shotgun wedding, I fear many an 'ol boy bit the bullet on that one. I betcha that sign will be responsible for more failed marriages than a suitcase of coke and a bus load of hookers. :highly_amused:

There are different kinds?

12 Ga-16ga-20ga & 410. Some have single barrels,others have dual barrels and they make an Over and Under TOO. One of em like an automatic you just pump it and it keep firing -Keoke- AZ :cowboy:

I almost forgot:
The 16 gauge shotgun is kinda rare now. It used to be thought of as a good compromise between the 12 gauge and the 20 gauge.
 
And wouldn't you know. They're fresh out of $250 shotguns. We do have this $1800. semi auto that we'll apply the gift card to. You can also add the cost onto your car loan and make convenient monthly payments.

And I remember as a kid, going to the Smithsonian, just inside the door was a display case with a pair of 4-gauge shotguns. 50 years later, I still cannot imagine whose shoulder was going to withstand that.
 
Those large shotguns (4 gauge) were used from boats. Sometimes called "punt" guns. Used many years ago when "market hunting" was the norm. Hard to imagine what went on years ago.
 
The Brits used to use 4 bore ie. 4 gauge guns for dangerous game in africa....Instead of shooting one, they called it bashing. probably what happened to your shoulder.

WOT !:
A punt gun is a type of extremely large shotgun used in the 19th and early 20th centuries for shooting large numbers of waterfowl for commercial harvesting operations and public sport.
They could kill 50 or more birds at a single firing. Basically they were hand held cannons.-:congratulatory:
 
$250 would go well toward the stainless Mossberg 500 I've coveted for a while. But I don't need another car.
 
Or their J.I.C. marine coated 500 pump that comes in a water proof case. No shoulder stock though, only a pistol grip.
