Just got bad news

Did a tune up on the van awhile ago and developed a miss after that.
Checked everything and all was tight and in the correct location.
Brought it to a GM shop by me .
They called and said they didn't get to the miss as my oil is a milk shake.
Intake leaking into the cylinders
Great!!!
Is there some special sauce I can put in it to slow the leak so I can use it for a while
6 large for a new motor or 25K for a newer van

I used a product by Bars-leak that worked well for 3 years. There are a few different formulations. Will probably kill your heater. Should be $1500 to replace the gaskets I would think.

That's what I have been thinking just do the gasket.
The oil was changed less than a tank ago

Oh, don't need the heater much.
Now the A/C !!!

Is this one of the 60° V6 mills, Don?

Just brought it home.
They said the cap was milk shakey
The cap is clean now. I pulled the stick and looks like oil to me.
Going to let it cool down and check again.

Don't worry about it, common problem with vans and it's just condensation. It's the long tube that does it.... those guys are rookies...

Punch out the screen vents in the bottom of the dizzy housing and change the ignition coil if it hasn't been done yet.

Horse Manure.
"Milkshake" motor is the official mechanics term at GM for the intake going.
They've had massive issues with that since the first narrow v-6 came out.
Expansion and contraction of dissimilar metals SAWS the gasket out.
It you do this fast, the anti freeze won't eat the bearing babbit.
New intake gaskets, oil and filter, see if it runs and don'
t knock.

No, take the dizzy cap off, on the bottom of the dizzy housing are two round screen vents about 1/4" across. Punch those out with a screwdriver. Change the ignition coil out, you'll need a grinder to cut the rivets. Send me a check for $100 for diagnostics. :jester:

Seriously though, these things are known for bad coils and condensation in both the long oil tubes and in the dizzy due to vents getting clogged or too small.

.

This is the 90, basically a SBC 350 with two cylinders cut off. There's nothing wrong with it, condensation has been known to build up in the long oil tubes for vans of all makes especially GM.

Drain a little oil out of the pan
Looks like oil and feels like to me
Dave, Intake was changed 35K ago and head gaskets

Then there is no bad news.

Though I was planning on replacing it in 2
Wonder if we should accelerate the time plan

Condensation is a whole lot different than milkshake. Don, you need to pull the drain plug for just a short spurt into a clean container and quick run the plug back in. You get water, or milkshake, it's bad.
Clean oil, you're as good as you're gonna get with a General Misunderstanding.

Dave , Did that I got what looks like 1000 mile oil
